[langtitle=fr]Stop to distribute PDCU 4.30 and Save MONEY[/langtitle]

Bien Cordialement, Jpette

The reality is that you need to post-process (PP) your photographs, even lightly, for a better result.

A real value of PDCU is to offer each Pentax user with a choice: to use free PDCU or to buy another software. Personally I believe that each Pentax must be given the choice. In addition, PDCU is better than many softwares supplied by other manufacturers.

I am sure that many can understand your frustration with PDCU, but ... it is not a bad PP software. The outcome from PDCU can be quite pleasing.

Food for thoughts...

But...you think's PDCU is FREE, it's FALSE !
When you buy one camera (Kx, K5, etcet), it's under licence sylkypix, and pentax send money to sylkypix (for example), and to end, it's YOU (alls), we sale this inuseable software.

I'm excuse, but one software with exifs bugged...or not know read intel and motorola format...it's one horror.

And here i not "critic" the final quality, i think very good result.

but the interoperabilty bug...no possible in 2011.

same, make one "user friendly interface" is possible and not too complex make better, and this is easy.

Also, i want pay (no problem) but with one software good, and today, it's really not this.

i think's pentax remove PDCU of his package, good idea, and after buy k5 or other with 10 or 20 euros less, or have better viewfinder etc....

many FREE softwares exist, and less buggued ...examples:
Rawtherapee, Photivo, and it's for Pc Win 32 and 64, Mac, linux Os.
And many others...
And no need pentax put PDCU

Never have this "interoperabilty" problem with jpeg in others brands..

not really serious...

When i buy one "pentax optio" (low cost), i have one Acdsee with (stable, no crash), buy one k-5 and you receive one horror software argghh!

Best regards, jpette

I am still using Pentax Browser 3.50 as it does a couple handy things I like. Two things it does not do is allow deletion of an opened image, and the most important, update the exif display as you scroll through thumbnails. As is is now, every exif display is identical to the first image looked at :-(
