Copying pentax's "vibrant" color setting in Lightroom?

Does anybody know how to copy Pentax's vibrant setting in lightroom? Was hoping maybe someone already made a preset. If not, any suggestions on going about this? Sometimes it's just the ticket and I can't seem to replicate it just using my eye and the sliders.

thanks!

I haven't made a preset. I do however shoot in dng which allows me to use the embedded color profile that gets me a good start.

The easiest way to get the color profiles is to just shoot them in raw and then apply them within the Pentax software. There is in fact a screen that allows you to generate a "custom image" out of a raw file- it performs the same algorithms after the fact that normally take place within the camera.

More info on this can be found in our K-5 review on the homepage.

I shoot DNG as well, although DNG versus JPG (vibrant) look totally different when imported into lightroom. Although funny enough, before lightroom has rendered its previews, the initial thumbnail looks just like the vibrant processed JPG.

So, i've lost my pentax CD, and don't have the pentax software anymore (and a new computer that doesn't have it installed). Doesn't seem to be available for download on the pentax site .... Guess I'm SOL here

Isn't vibrant basically about color saturation?

I can give you access/invite you to my Dropbox to download it. You don't need the actual CD. Just send me a PM with your email address.

Are you on a Mac or PC?

Not funny at all. The camera generated the thumbnail based on your settings. LR is displaying the image with the ACR default settings (unless you have told it otherwise) applied on import.

I just started playing with Mithrandir's One-Step preset. It seem to set some vibrant colors.
