The state of masking software?

Does anyone use masking software to extract or remove parts of your images? Just wondering on how well they work nowadays. I saw that Topaz Remask, but I'm wondering if there are better ones available now?

I use Topaz Remask 3. My only problem with remask is with flyaway hair. Despite their tutorials, I still can't get the results they claim are possible. But that is my only frustration with remask, other than that I like it a lot and use it all the time.

I am an admitted Adobe Uber fan....so Photoshop is my choice. It can be a little intimidating at first glance but with a little instruction and some practice anyone can use it. The results are well worth it.
