I do use them as well, and I am very happy about it.

How to use it in batch mode? Is there any good batch script I can just directly use?

Yes ben, I do recall a recent post on another thread where a script was posted for ufraw batch processing.
Do your own search.

I have gimp and ufraw on Fedora F10 & F14, with Nvidia drivers to GeForce GPUs
and Eizo 22 inch 101 pix/inch monitor and some test color cards.
I mostly use camera jpgs and main intent is to use the gimp and ufraw just for measuring so far.
The monitor is in factory sRGB and my old camera looks fairly close on defaults, both MWB and AWB out doors.
Some tests I did resulted in immediately changing a 52 mm film era lens UV filter to a new Hoya digital type.
Not only were colors bad ,the color step changes were smeared by the filter..

All best with your new K7!

Thanks! I know how to use it in shell and perl now. Then I'll check it out with photoshop and LR when my K-7 arrives. The batch mode looks very attractive to me.

I tried them in GUI mode and it feels right and fast. It may works for me ^_^.

ufraw + gimp

works perfect here. Have a look at:

Unfortunately sharpening is (stil) missing in ufraw, so a (very small) bash script is doing that job batch-wise.

Got it. I'll spend some time to write a c shell or perl script to play around with different settings and options to make things work fine for me. I also need to write the DOS batch file for windows. Let's see how things going.

I use gimp and ufraw, but not in batch. I don't know whether it supports ufraw, but for batch-mode work, I find imagemagick quite nice.

I use gimp and ufraw for my K100 and K200 raw images, but have only used Imagemagick for batch processing.
