using photoshop cs5, I am not be able to use Alt to switch between lasso tool.

I know when we use lasso tool, we can switch between different lasso tool on the fly by press Alt (for windows)
but it does not work for me..I wonder if anyway I can fix this problom..

The ALT key on my CS5 activates the Subtract From selection (puts the little minus sign next to the tool).

ye, I know and that works for me.
but u can also use alt key to switch between different lasso tool on the fly. I learned this shortcut from a tutoral at Lynda.com..but no matter how hard I press the alt..-_-...It does not work..

What version of windows are you running? For some reason, I'm no longer able to (haven't for a couple weeks) paste a screen shot into a new file (or any other) within CS5. I can with other applications though. Photoshop is completely ignoring the windows clipboard it seems.

Edit: I wiped the hard drive which kills all temporary files and my the paste into photoshop is now working. Something must have been full up. Still don't know why you cannot use the key strokes you say you've always used though.

well, same thing in this article loh..I know this shortcut..but it does not work for my pc....weird....
