fantastic - just recieved a lifesized 2 meter textileprint of a rhino

you should try this, it came out really great

for my photoshow i dreamed to have a lifesized print of an rhino
yesterday i received the print and it look fantastic, really great - a 1:1 lifesized rhino

thats how it will look like at the gallery show (just a part of the hole show)
do you like it?

Name: Ausstellungsplan_Ausschnitt.jpg

Size: 50.0 KB

Technical:
the photo is made with the K5 and the F* 600mm f4.0
for printing i used a regular jpg, nothing special, uncroped

made by whitewall, it is printed on textilmaterial
it could have been printed in a larger size, they say

the quality is much better than i hoped - i found a fly in one of the nostril of the rhino, haven't seen this before

Pretty cool. What was the actual size of the print to make it life size?

It looks excellent - except for the bit of rear leg that should be either in or out of the shot not cut down the middle. With regard to your show ... I'd mix the shots up a bit more as I'm sure you have a lot, almost all of those shown seem to have the subject's heads in the centre and be looking straight at the camera.

I've been thinking of having one of these done .. they are really cheap over here but I love the texture/look to photos given this treatment.

the printsize is 135.5 x 200 cm
so the rhino is something about 180 cm

the textile material feels and look almost like a print on soft paper from the front
much better, than i thought i would come out
i have seen just a small example peace in the local whitewall-shop before

thats only a small cutout of the hole show, just to check out how the printsize will look like compare to a visitor
