PSE 5.0, Camera Raw and Chromatic Abberation

I sometimes get PF when using my Tamron 70-300.

I often see it written that CA can be corrected with software.

Am I missing something? Or, is this not available in PSE 5.0 and the raw converter?

As far as I know, Photoshop Elements 5.0 (6.0, etc), does not offer a Chromatic Aberration tool. The Raw converter in Elements only provides a limited selection of tools, so you'll need to step up to Photoshop or something similar to gain a wider range of editing options.

I don't know if Elements has layers and blending modes but, if so, you can select the CA area and copy to a layer set to Color Blend Mode and apply a heavy blur. That should neutralize the chroma.
