Is there a suite that's better than Topaz? Your thoughts?

I got a sweet deal on the Topaz software suite. I've been using it combined with Light Room and CS6 but it's not what I expected. It's kind of clunky and I don't like how it takes you out of CS6 everytime one you choose a program (or filter).

Does anyone have any experience with Topaz and has anyone made a switch to another software suite? Any recommendations?

A lot of folks favor NIK which is cheap these days. Really depends on what added functions you really need beyond the powerful tools you already possess. I have a few of the NIK modules, but I don't use them all that much. I find that depth learning of LR & Photoshop provides me with 96% of all I need.

NIK at $150.00 is the best deal going.

After using both Topaz and Nik suites for awhile, the only Topaz plug-in I still use is Denoise 5. For everything else, I prefer the NIK alternatives.

A lot depends on what you actually using Topaz to do, for me between LR, ACR and CS6 all my needs are covered.

Each suite has it one or two programs that do what you like. Topaz has denoise, remask, details and adjust. Onone has resizer and effects. Nik has silver and post sharper. They all take time to open, some have their own stand alone program that you don't need to open cs6. Topaz lifetime upgrade. Watch webinars on the different ones. Get a feel how they are used by others. They are have free to try them out. Most all have sales on their suites.
