+1, as already mentioned, if manufacturers choose not make their products comply to the "open standard", that cannot be a fault of the standard maker, in this case Adobe. The whole idea of the "open standard" in the first place was to resolve issues such as the OP is having.
P.S. Both Lightroom 5 and PS CS6 are still available as stand alone products, if you wish not to go the CC route.
