Epson V700 and Fluid Mount Accessory

I ran across the fact that in the UK Epson will sell the Fluid Mount Accessory separately for use with the V700. I compared Epson's specs for both the V700 which I own and the V750 and they seem identical, hence the FMA should work fine on the V700. Epson USA doesn't list the FMA as available separately.

Several days ago I sent Epson USA an email asking about the FMA, so far I've heard nothing from them. I seem to recall a year or so ago that there were some drivers for Epson printers available in France, for example, but not here. Is this common practice for Epson? Anyone using the FMA on either scanner; is it worth the money?

You might do as well with a mounting station from betterscanning.com:

PS...you might want to ask the mods to move this to the scanner/darkroom section of the site.
