I've no exerience with the K-30. I understood from the OP that the info is visible in the DNGs, and I assumed that the JPG conversion was via Lightroom.

The Op could perhaps eliminate ACR by using the Pentax converter and viewing the resultant JPG in LR.

I did break down yesterday and got Photoshop CC/Lightroom 5 (ver 5.2). Still no luck. Remember also that I can see the lens metadata fine with DNGs.

I am shooting RAW+JPG so these JPGs are straight out of the camera.

In your LR catalog settings, did you check the box to write Develop metadata to jpg, tiff & PSD files ?
You need to do this.
