Nice writeup Eric, very informative for beginners. I have used gallery on a couple of my clients sites (web design) but have since found a new tool to use that I will be migrating my clients sites to. Its awesome for a number of reasons but mainly its slick looking, very modular and its flas so no one can snag your photos. I use it on my own personal gallery also at .:The CDS Gallery:..

Thanks for posting this. I'll give it a read.

I've been thinking about trying Gallery. I use Bluehost, which has
all the tools (db, shell, etc.) I should need.

This document describes one of the many ways to create an image-hosting web site. I've done this enough times and I went to the trouble to take notes. I also went through the software setup a couple times while writing this to make sure I had it right. Several DPR members beta tested it as well. It should be reasonably accurate, but....

Seems link is not working anymore.

Care to share again ?

Thanks
