Hm? What would they need to create the profile apart from the name of the lens?

The profiles correct for various distortions, vignetting, etc. The profiles can only be created by using test shots from the lens.

Probably still won't auto detect HD 55-300mm WR correctly, sigh

I would imagine so. The only correction I ever try manually is vignetting. Life's too short.

If it is not on the list, that would be a good indication that it won't. There may be a community version of the profile, but even having that it probably won't auto-detect. If if is any consolation, it will not auto-detect most recent Sigma lenses in Pentax mount either.

So Adobe apparently laid their hands on the lens. Woohoo I'm really looking forward to a review now that it's out.

I think the profiles Adobe includes is provided by the lens/camera manufacturers, I doubt Adobe would have the time to test all the lenses they have profiles for. I remember doing a couple of profiles for my lenses, and it WAS tedious and I wasn't entirely satisfied with them. I ended up printing several different sized charts on a large format printer in order to have something that I could use for some of my lenses.

I'm just delighted to see the K-S1 supported so quickly. I almost always shoot DNG anyway, and LR didn't have an issue with them before this.

Thanks for posting this - it was fortuitous for me since I had my computer at work for some other updates. My home internet is super slow - I have access to much faster internet at work.

It may be time or me to upgrade now as the exif on my K-3 still doesn't find the lens ID in my 4.3 version.

Anyone got it to install? I keep getting corrupted file messages.

Hopefully, this version will have Pentax lens profiles, my version of 5.6 doesn't list Pentax at all!

Took a couple hours to get here , but mine came through OK, installed OK, no errors. Installed on two PC's.

Maybe download it again with a different browser and/or into a different disk location.
