I was googling this the other day since my Sigma 10-20 shows up as a Tamron lens in Bridge.

Apparently, Sigma uses random characters in the Lens ID that is reported to the camera, and it causes these types of problems. So it is at least partially the lens' fault.

To add, I my new Sigma APO 100-300mm F4 shows in Lightroom as Sigma APO 70-200 f2.8.

Well, there is only one thing left for us Sigma owners to do...

Upgrade to F* or D* Pentax equivalent, just to get the correct EXIF data.

Anyone want to buy my house?

funny. I wonder how many other lenses arent recognised? As one of the features of lightroom is to filter by lens used. Has anyone played with the Beta version of LR? Can you add to your exif data or input a lens used. Maybe it can be added as a keyword?

Yep, I'm in LR b2. I just import and add the sigma details as a keyword. LRs keywording is quite good, to say the least.

I had a quick look at deiting the EXIF in LR, but no luck.
