I've been using a mix of GIMP and RAW Therapee for a number of years, both are very useful. They aren't perhaps the most publicised applications but that's probably because they are not backed up with big business advertising. Maybe I'm just not willing to part with the a lot of cash to buy applications that constantly need updates, but in the end I'm glad to support the guys who come up with the little applications because they want to not because they are employed to.
