If you are just trying to get images to the web, than Lightroom is possibly your best option, especially if your website has a LR plugin. For instance, with Smugmug, I just drop my photos into a gallery (appears as a collection in LR) and Lightroom uploads a jpeg to the website (no need for an export).
Or, you can just export all you need to JPeg and then upload outside of Lightroom. You can even automate the development (processing) with a quick preset or two so that you just click one button to optimize your DNG files. Most RAW converters can do similar, and the Pentax DCU is a good option if you are looking for the out of camera look for your images.
