Silkypix for K-50 Download?

Greetings,

I searched PF but could not find an answer to my question. I just inherited a K-50, but without the Silkypix software. I can not find the version for the K-50 (3.0.0.11), but can find the 3.0.0.8, which does not work with the K-50.

I wonder if someone can point me to the K-50 version?

Thanks,
-Joe-

Have you tried contacting Ricoh support?

Why not download the latest Digital Camera Utility v5.5.1 from the Ricoh website (http://www.ricoh-imaging.co.jp/english/support/download_digital.html)? It should handle the K-50 RAWs and JPGs fine - it handles my K-5 and *istDS RAWs - and should have more features and be more user-friendly than the earlier Silkypix software. The DCU 5.5.1 update will nominally only work as an update to an already-installed version, but you can trick the update to install a fresh full version by copying the appropriate installer file into the root directory of a thumb drive re-named S-SW140 (this is important) and running it from there.

Thanks for the answers...

I have been using PDCU5 so far, and it seems o.k., but I wanted to try the original Silkypix 3.0.0.11 that came with the K-50 to compare workflow. On my PC, PDCU5 runs slow as compared to PDCU4 (which I use for my K100DS and K5 RAW processing, and does an excellent job).

If you're happy with PDCU4 then I'd go with that - it should do a great job of the K-30 pictures as well.

Link appears broken. Anyone have a link to a working download?

Google 'pentax software download', and the ricoh-imaging.co.jp website will be one of the top hits.

Microlight,

Unfortunately, PDCU4 does not recognize K-50 DNG files, which is why I wanted to try the Silkypix LE 3.0.0.11 which was for the K-50 (the Silkypix LE 3.0.0.8 was for the K-30 and does not recognize the K-50).

Is there someone with a K-50 who could e-mail the 3.0.0.11 installer to me?

Please help! I lost original install CD. Now I'm unable to develop K-50 RAW files. And there is no support from Ricoh. Many thanks for help! Rastislav

Hello,
Unfortunately, I lost original install CD ( Silkypix Studio LE 3.0.0.11). Could you help me, please?
Thanks in advance,

Alain
