I purchased a continuous ink system for my Epson 1430 printer and found the colors to be really bad, so I got the supplier to do a profile for it.
I can't for the life of me understand how to use the profile.
Can someone please help me with this ? ... The supplier's communication was terrible so was no help at all.

Profiles are just references for the color management part of your photo editing software. The full term is ICC Color Profile. I don't know where that management option is in any software other than Corel Photo Paint. But you would go into the color management screen, and just choose the correct color profile for the printer there, and another for the screen, and for scanner, etc... For a profile that isn't embedded in the software, you will have to choose custom profile or manufacturer profile, and navigate to the file on your HDD.

I print from paint.net which uses the printer's own setup.
I know the new ICC profile is located in the correct windows directory on the HDD, but the profile doesn't show up in the printer's setup so that I can select it.
