I'm a bit perturbed with LightCrafts atm. Several rather annoying bugs exist in the 3.5 release:
1. Batch RAW conversion produces progressively shrunken jpegs if you specify a size limit (e.g. 2048/1536/1024 pixels max)
2. Memory leak that eats your RAM after working with several images.
3. It will not handle DNG or PEF images from the K20D.

A quick search around their forums and you'll see quite a few folks raising these issues, beginning mid-April '08, and thus far I am unaware of any response coming from LightCrafts on if/when a patch will be available.

So while the workflow and tools of this product are great, they've got a long way to go on support and QA. So my free advice is to save all your pennies, not just 20% of them, until they put out a patch.

Thanks for the info, Venturi. Fortunately, I don't have a need for batch RAW conversion (yet), don't have a K20D, and setting Preferences | Memory Limit seems to provide a workaround to the memory leak issue until a patch is available. Despite the issues, I love the workflow! I'll keep an eye out for the patch - hope it comes soon. Good to know of the problems so people may make an informed decision; thanks again for sharing.

You're totally welcome. I love the workflow too and I snapped up a copy of it as soon as they launched the linux build for v3.5. Just burns my butt that there are these problems and so far I have yet to see anyone getting any response from LightCrafts to indicate they are even acknowledging issues.
They had a very visible presence on their forums when the v3.5 release came out and then suddenly dissappeared after the big money grab, er I mean Linux Launch Special. So this new summer deal to me looks like another money grab with no support for their new customers in sight.
