The Photobucket to Flikr thread.

There are some differences for sure, Flickr doesn't allow you to import images directly to an Album like Photobucket did, you do a general import from the front page and then select the images you want to put in each Album. Better in some ways, one picture can go into an Album and it's only on the drive one. Less convenient it that it's an extra step in the import process which is less than fool proof.

But, I've start doing my files at 2650 x 1600 for full screen display. Probably a mistake, I should have gone to a 4k display size in anticipation of my next computer.
Now when I post a photo on the forum

If you click on the iamges you can see it in original size I uploaded it. Or for my own use, I can click on a slide show, put my browser in Full Screen and click on the arrows in the right bottom corner to have a full screen slideshow, ruined only by the browser's menu bar. Pretty cool,

I've actually wanted to do this for a while. I thought if I waited long enough Photobucket would increase their size limit and slow down their ridiculous IQ degrading of uploaded files. It's all moot now.

If you have alarge screen, go ahead, click on the photo. If you put your browser in full screen then click pn the right bottom corner arrows, it should pretty much fill you screen.

Are you going to outline how, or is it a secret?

Every upload button I use goes to a generic page without any option but the Photostream, and I have to drag images from the photstream ar at the bottom of the page to the album I want them in.

I have to GO to the album, EDIT the album, and drag and drop.

wow - doubly quoted, no less...

when I go to the upload screen, I have an entire menu on the left of my screen that gives me options for name, description, tags, people, albums, groups, and settings for each photo I am uploading...

like so:

I have a paid subscription account with Flickr, so this may be different for you if you are using a free account, though I don't know but thought this might help to start with.

I upload using the arrow icon located in the top right of the screen shown here:

This takes you to the upload screen where you press the large button in the centre of screen to upload your image (or the 'Add' button in the top left does the same thing)

When you select a photo or series of photos they will upload and you will get this view

If you already have albums you select add to albums either singularly or select a group of images to add them collectively.

Hope this info is of use.

Flickr has gone through some growing pains over the years, but right now I think it is the best yet. Super easy and nice iq, full res uploads. I wish they'd bring back the editor though.
Nice photostream Norm!

OK, now I have to find a file to load, I'll be back.

It works as advertised. Way too cool. Here's a little K-1 Pixel Shift for you. Pixel Shift does reds.
