Can Bridge use 2 databases?

First I am a novice with Adobe Bridge. I have used it to keyword my family photos and that's it.

Simply - I want to keep my keywords separate for my family photos and my sports photos. So when keywording family ones I don't want to scroll through all the names of the sports players and sports grounds etc. And of course, vice versa.

And maybe the searches too, not sure on that one as I haven't used it enough. At present all my family photos are on my C: drive, and sports photos on D: drive (yes, they're backed up elsewhere too).

Any hints for good practice on this?

I'm not familiar with Bridge, unfortunately. I do know Adobe Lightroom can use 2 databases. Maybe Bridge can as well?

Would you be so kind as to explain (briefly) how you tell Lightroom which to use. Is it a menu thing?

I do believe you can change catalogues and create new ones in the File menu.

File > New Catalog...
