Has anyone tried aperture 2? It works well for me.

Actually, the Pentax "state-of-the-art software" works fine for me (except no dust-spotting capability). I did finally break down and get Elements 6 for $69. I downloaded a trial version and liked the spot healing feature and it seemed to have some other things I might use. I don't use tags, so the Organizer side will not be used much at all. Even with Elements, I think I'll use PPL for 90% of my shots. Shrug.

The software I would never do without is Silkypix - hands down the best Raw converter out there IMHO (of course). There is a free version to as well.

You really only need to keep the raw, from these you can make as many jpegs as you want.

My vote is for CS3 it does all I need and it seems to have become the industry standard now wrongly or rightly.
