Research at NVIDIA: AI Reconstructs Photos with Realistic Results

QuoteQuote:
Researchers from NVIDIA, led by Guilin Liu, introduced a state-of-the-art deep learning method that can edit images or reconstruct a corrupted image, one that has holes or is missing pixels. The method can also be used to edit images by removing content and filling in the resulting holes. Nice tech, but rather worrying too.

Applied to CCTV, speed cameras etc and suddenly the line starts to get seriously blurred between what a real image is when machine imagery is used for prosecution.

Sunglasses and hoodies won't mask anyone anymore either. System will just supply an AI generated face for you and the court.
