Old boy has grown up and became oldboy.
I've changed scripts, layout and started to use tools signed with big G. Step by stem not all at once.
For example. Sharpness was done using
Unsharp Mask (legacy)... previously. At present it is
G Unsharp Mask.
New "Art" was shot in the night in the kitchen using small but strong pocket LED flashlight. On my side there was me and
Panasonic Lumix DMC-LS80.
The shot was so good I had little work to do. Anyway I was able to test the new
Unsharp Mask. It's excellent!
For the smallest image I had to zoom in 200% to control details and edges. It appeared that standard settings had to be changed.
Standard Deviation was untouched - 0.550.
Scale was moved left from 4.000 to 1.500. Other GIMP "tricks" below.
As one may think why the image is so strong, not more softly or delicate or dimmed a little, I have one answer:
Black is not soft "color", it's downright damn black hole color!
Every color must be strong as well, using black hole as background. That's my point of view.
Of course, you may download the files and test them using your own correction settings and whatever application you have.
I'd be very much appreciated if you wanted to share your style. There are a lot of things which one could learn from others.
Caveat
My experience says that images 1600 x 1200 which I create and seen on poor class LCD monitors like mine with resolution 1280 x 1024,
they have tendency to presents the images overly sharpened.
Best regards
