Naaa it doesn't keep working - for some reason the settings get corrupted.
The raw black/white point seems to be the culprit and the colours go astray at that point in the history stack.
Is there any way to customise the other module groups?
Is there a reason you wouldn't just create your own preset to set it up however you want it? Details here:

Thought I'd show a raw processed comparison vs sooc (second image), even if the image may not be that special or difficult to process. Mostly global edits, with a few brushes to balance the exposure.
This kind of editing takes me a couple of minutes, I like the new modules tab structure, seems to requite a bit less jumping around.

Noise reduction in Darktable - Tomas Sobek Photography
I've found these denoise styles quite good. The low works fine for almost everything.

Thanks for the link, Derek. But with the v3.6 release this coming Saturday, we will all need to revisit the noise reduction modules.

How do folks find version 3.6? I was having a bit of trouble figuring out how to add/remove modules, but the new manager for module layouts is a lot better in use!

I compile from master once a day so there are no surprises for me. All the changes are for the better. I need to nuke all my old styles and start making new ones to get a grip on the new module handling.

Seems like the exposure module with the paintbrush doesn't work the same as the previous version.

I'm keeping the previous version on my laptop for now.

Wow, lots of new stuff including a new demosaic'ing algorithm. I'll have to check it out. Lots of things that should make the workflow easier, like not having to go back and forth between pages to export your files...
And are you guys using the new Quick Access panel? That could be a game changer in terms of usability.

I like the idea, it could be the one stop shop for most of my edits, but I haven't gotten to customizing it to achieve that. Those mini modules lack a bit of info compared to the main module, so it may take time to get used to (for example the crop tool). However, I'm continuing to like that the other tabs for modules are entirely customizable, mix and match and rename to suit your workflow, I can now put my most used modules in a single tab.

I like the export option now right in darkroom. No need to jump out in to lighttable to export.
Saves a little time.

I always use the Control-E shortcut from darktable to export the image. No need to go to lighttable mode. Of course this is for the single image which is being edited

Is the new culling view in lighttable an addition from 3.6? Never noticed it before, and it's quite nice to use for comparing similar compositions
