Out in what sense, though? I see a lot of people on other forums complaining about new bugs including freezing on trying to open a file. I've advised my readers to wait with upgrading.
When you download it they even say that there are going to be several updates in the next few weeks as they find bugs...then an update every couple of months...

Installing has been stuck at 100% for the past 15 minutes.
Canceled, nothing was installed. (naturally).
Tried again, installation stuck again at 100%.

Guess I won't be running this one. Back to Lightroom for now. :-(

FYI, support was quick to respond. Unlike other software (and I don't understand why), it does not ask for admin rights to allow installation of software to the standard /Applications folder. But installing to the User's application folder worked. (they suggested logging in as an administrator which shouldn't be necessary)
Anyway, it seems to be working. It will probably take a day to two to import my photo catalog.

I'm finding the new Luminar 3 very slow to boot up and very slow to do just about anything (compared to the previous version)

Also .. I can't find a "Settings" or "Preferences" button or menu anywhere. Am I missing something?

On the Mac it has a Preferences... menu item, and opens to give you one and one only preference, the ability to adjust cache. Which maybe could help speed it up for you.
