Got it. The short answer is that it does not do that. The camera will only display files that it created. I did some look-see in regards to both JPEG and non-camera DNG a few years ago.

As for solving the problem, have you considered printing the card deck to gloss finish card stock?

That's really fascinating, is there a simple 'BB' dumbed down version explanation as to why this is? There is no trickery?

Here's what I'm thinking. Take 50 shots from teh camera, take the images into photoshop, insert the jpgs as a overlayering layer, save. Export, etc. Put the files back inthe camera? WOuld that work ya think?

Security does not seem to be the case. The K-1 will happily show Canon Powershot images. It even reads the EXIF to get the time, date, and focal length.
