Heal and clone layers now feature an unlimited number of source points. Currently one has to use one layer per source point. This is an incredibly useful improvement.
Automatic source point selection for healing is reportedly improved.
There is a new "before/after" tool. I find it rather pointless, though.
- Who actually wants to use a left/right slider to cover/uncover edits? There is a full image "before/after" mode as well, but
- the tool always compares against the completely unedited first version of the image.
It is far more useful to be able to set a "before" state by referring to the editing history so that one can evaluate a recent sequence of editing steps, without being blinded by the many changes that occurred before those steps. Lightroom has offered this for years; Capture One does not support per-image histories, so Capture One would have had to add histories or some other form of defining a "before" state.
The above were said to be not including all changes but nothing more was officially disclosed.
