Pentax K1 wifi and image sync in Video mode

I've been setting up the image sync app so that I can shoot remotely from my iPhone. Works fine in image mode.. Helpful.. especially when I do macro work close to the ground. My old bones can't get down there to see the image. But its not working in video mode. I can switch to video mode, and turn on wifi.. but the app on my phone doesn't see the camera. It lets me hook up to it. But when I go into the Shoot menu.. it simply starts telling me how to hook up.. Which I am.

Is this feature not supported.. Is it a bug, and is their a better alternative to the Ricoh app?

Not supported. It doesn't allow use of any of the drive modes except single shot.

I think in that situation you're better off with a 7" field monitor (I have a Lilliput) and run an HDMI cable to it, Paul.
