Newest update from,DCU on MAC crashes
Hello,
I installed the latest Version of DCU on my iMac, but it's impossible to work with it.
It crashes all the time. A simple JPG can not be opened and also not a DNG from PS.
The whole software looks like an old 1985 Windows program, sorry, but this is crap...

Hope that Ricoh/Pentax will use some resources to bring it up to the 21th century

But i am happy with my new K-1 Mk ii

Well its April 14, 2021 and still no update to Digital Camera Utility 5 for Big Sur. I would think 5 or 6 months is enough time to fix the problem. I hardly ever use Digital Camera Utility 5 except for Pixel Shift Resolution images.
I don't know of any other software that handles PRS images. I'm not happy with Digital Camera Utility 5. Its a pain to use.

As I suspected a new version of DCU is shipping with the K-3iii. The new version v5.9.1 appears to work on Big Sur. It should be a matter of time (a few weeks) until it is available for download.

Just found the DCU install in the manual - should've read it all before. Installation and resulting version went from 5.8.6 to 5.9.1 and was quick on my iMac with MacOS Big Sur.

Version 5.9.2 release date 28 Apr 2021 is available for download. This corrects the menu language bug in the Laboratory. It also will support Big Sur.
