You needed to highlight the new folder name before you did the import. LR was looking at the root preset directory and not the new directory you created. However, an easy fix is to individually drag the two new presets to the new directory name and just drop them into it.

Thank you mithrandir. I think I just must be an idiot because I am just not able to get these installed correctly. Don't know if that it is because I am on Vista or not but I after an hour of messing with this I am giving up.

I do appreciate your efforts and apologize for your having to deal with the ignorant.

I doubt you are an idiot. I just didn't explain it clear enough. Let Matt at the end of this link explain it. He is better at it than I am.

Thanks mithrandir! That seemed to work. I must be one of those visual idiots. LOL

Now that these presets are installed can I go ahead and download the new 2.3?

Yes you can download 2.3 and your presets will stay all neat and tidy where you put them.

I have updated the two presets, first presented in this thread, to include the latest update to Lightroom (version 2.2). Just in time for those Holiday pictures.

You can get the latest versions by downloading:
Thanks a lot for your presets, Mithrandir.
I've been having hard time to convert those RAW files for print. This is really helpful.
BTW, if I'm going to update my Lightroom 2.2 to LR 2.3, will these presets still work fine?

Thanks again.

They seem to be working for me - I've been on LR2.3 for about a week now.

Oh that's great.
Thanks, Chris. Then I'll update my LR to 2.3

The presets work well with both Lr 2.2 and 2.3.

Thanks, mithrandir.

I also have a question.
After I upgrade to LR 2.3, on camera profile I see Camera Standard.
but by default, all my photo has the Adobe Standard.
How to change this profile to Camera Standard as a default?

Thanks again.

The LR Presets in this Thread work with K7 DNGs

I have done some preliminary testing of K7 DNGs (downloaded from Pentax Germany) and they work well with the LR presets in this thread.
