Capture One iPad Support Announced
I don't see this as good news, given the state C1 is in.
There are a ton of little things to fix that would address the needs of current users by removing issues that hinder productivity and/or remove the need for workarounds.
If C1 did not have that many issues that needed addressing then I wouldn't mind additional tablet support. As it is, however, tablet support will consume a substantial amount of development resources that are urgently needed for the core product.
Achieving synchronisation between tablets and desktop machines is not trivial and the tablet version will require its own UI design.
Despite the considerable development effort only a very specific tablet type (M1-based Apple tablets) will be supported. Nice (potentially) for the few who one these devices anyhow, but the rest are just paying extra for the next upgrade without benefiting.
The situation is similar to Capture One only properly supporting Tangent controllers. This is very expensive gear so only a very small base of users will ever benefit and the rest who are using affordable controllers are left with inefficient, incomplete, and in part broken keyboard shortcut support.
