PS2 opens PEF from K10D not from K20D?

Both K10D and K20D the menu settings are the same but Adobe CS2 don't want to open PEF's from K20D, only from K10D. Why is that please?

To confirm: CS2 (Adobe) or PS2?

I am not sure of any other PS2 than Sony Playstation.

If it's CS2, then that's the problem - you need ACR 4.x or higher for K20D PEF files. ACR 4.x only works with CS3... sorry.

Thanks Marc, corrected the name.

So I need to shoot in DNG to be able to open and edit in CS2? Or shoot in PEF and then let Pentax software converts to DNG for CS2 to open it - but this means more work...

Hi Gerri,

You can use either method as you outlined, if you don't wish to shoot in JPEG. Welcome to the world of Adobe...

An upgrade to CS3 would cost you around $150-$175, IIRC. CS4 is now available at the $199 upgrade price from Adobe's site, and evidently it's faster to load, plus some performance tweaks, compared to CS3.
