Hi Joe,
It's a very good book. Also, take a look at Inside Lightroom
Good luck.

Martin evening will be at Photoshop World Boston in March. I plan to get him to sign my Christmas gift copy while I'm there.

I have some monitor calibration issues or I'm converting to JPEG badly.
Download and run the freeware Monitor Calibration Wizard and give it a try. It is completely and easily reversible if you don't like what it does. Even if you don't do the color adjustments, do the initial part where it helps you set the brightness and contrast; that alone can make a big difference.

I do like the B&W conversion very much.

As coincidence would have it I am at the B&W conversion chapter of the book right now. This isn't something I've done a lot but it is something I would like to do more.

Thanks,
joe
Spend the $60 or so on a Spyder2Express and it'll do a pretty decent job on your monitor (much better than eyeballing it with freeware stuff). Makes a world of difference, and this is coming from somebody hardheaded who tried to get his monitor about right without using the proper tools...

Sorry but I have an iMac so I can use the Windows Calibration Software.
