DA 17-70/f SDM marked as unknown lens in Lightroom2.

Does someone knows why my new lens, the DA 17-70mm, doesn't have a complete exif/metadata in Lightroom?

The same with my DA 18-55 II and DA 55-300: apparently no new Pentax lenses are recognized by Lightroom. I am sure the same is with Canon, Nikon and all other lenses.

Tested with Pentax Photo browser DA17-70mm showed up there.
Maybe it will be recognized in Lightroom when Adobe upload the new update 2,3?

LR 2.3 RC recognise this lens, and also DA*300/4. You can download it from here.Lightroom 2.3 - Adobe Labs

Were you shooting with your K-m? Light room doesn't recognize any of my lenses on my new K-m! Worse, it still doesn't recognize my 35mm DA limited macro on my K20D, and that lens was in production even before LR 2.0. Very disappointing!

I am on the latest version of LR, at least that last time I checked (earlier this week)

You have to reload Metadata from file to identify the lens.

I used DA 17-70mm with K20D. But, I have checked all photos taken with K-m, all of them are taken with a "unknown lens".

I will download LR 2,3 when it's done with the beta testing. I don't like the RC/beta versions.

I think you reload the metadata by right click on a RAW file in LR and choose Metadata --> Update DNG preview and metadata. I not sure, tried this with all files from the K-m, nothing happend.

Pretty frustrating, huh? I hope they (Adobe) fix this sooner rather that later, but I am still waiting for them to get the correct codes to recognize the 35mm limited macro.
