Photoshop Crop Tool with golden lines and spirals

Hi all!

I've recently written a Photoshop script that simulates crop tool with Golden Ratio (and Golden Spiral) guidelines. Maybe someone would find it interesting.

Direct Download: http://goldencrop.sourceforge.net/download.php
Requires: Photoshop CS2, CS3 or CS4
License: GNU GPL -- it is free!
Project Homepage: Golden Crop WWW

Screencasts
Installation: YouTube - Golden Crop for Photoshop® -- Installation
Usage: YouTube - Golden Crop for Photoshop® -- Howto

Pretty cool. It would be nice to be able to turn off different parts during the crop, but still cool. Works fine on my Mac as well.

Slight Mac differences for those interested:
Installation - Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS(x)/Scripts/
Use - At least for me, running CS4 on the Mac, it is showing up under "Automate" instead of "Scripts" under the File menu. Runs exactly the same as in the video link above though.

Yes, this is pretty cool.

It also shows up for me running CS3 on my Mac under "Automate".

About Script/Automate problem -- I've added annotations on the video. Now it's action-recordable, so the Automate menu seemed to be a better place for it

If you have any suggestions don’t hesitate to write them out!

Hi all! There's a new version of the Golden Crop script available Download from Golden Crop for Photoshop - Home Page

What's new?:

  • New composition method: Diagonal Rule

  • User customizable line thickness
  • New translation: German
  • Faster layers creation
  • Lines are more visible on a dark background (white stroke added)
  • User-friendly error information is shown when there is no open document

I'd appreciate any feedback!
