Will be shooting lots of action pics of kids' sports. Would like to upload pics to a website and have parents buy downloads. (1) Need to prevent free downloads and (2) need to figure way to upload large files or an alternative to uploading large files.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Check out photoreflect.com
It is a fairly easy to use site and well protected.
I use it for all of my sports action photos for
parents to look at.
