Yes, Microsoft ICE is a free download from Microsoft.
I've tried it and I found that it works better than any other photo panorama software I've used. Well done MS!

I hadn't taken a panorama in a few years and was at an archeological site and on a whim took a series of photos with the intention of making a pano. When I got home I was reading a photo forum and someone mentioned ICE. I downloaded it and made a lovely panorama, easily. ICE is nice.

I stumbled across it the other day and prefer it over autostitch. It's easy to use, has nice interface, and great control.

No, that's not it... Although i know exactly the software you're talking about, after trying it a while it's kind of boring... Did you ever use it? Do you have any good examples? Maybe you could start a thread for it! (and while you're at it, teach me how to use it properly...)

Edit: I remebered the name. "Liquid Resize"... but it was bought by onOnesoftware and now i just can't find it. Shoot...

1. It has a 64-bit version.
2. It can stitch photos shot from different viewpoints (for example when shooting a really long painting on a wall in in a narrow room)
3. It is really fast.
I don't know any other free software that can do 1 and 2.

I made the same connection...would think twice before downloading anything called ICE.

I am waiting for the Black version.

Very nice stitcher though, and at a nice price.

My daughters room, stitched from 46 images from K20D + DA*35 - F8, 1/30s & ISO400... The original resulting image is 10018 x 6104 pixels.

I just did a 4 shot pano. Did it in autostitch, PS CS4 and MS ICE.
MS ICE won. The pic had some handrails in the foreground, ICE was the only one that nearly got them right (95% right).

The control of curvature and whatever else is great, and when changing parameters you can see instantly what it'll look like. It's very good.
