Hello everyone, I have the following logo that I am trying to get rid of the white background. I have used the lasso in Photoshop cs4 and selected what I wanted then created a new file and made the background transparent and pasted the selected image. But the background is still coming out as white. If someone could please tell me what I'm doing wrong I would greatly appreciate it.

when you go to save the file, save it as a .png (select it under under format}
