EXIF help (date created) vs. (date taken)

I'm having trouble getting these two fields to match up. For some reason the date taken field is seven hours earlier than the date created field. I'd like them to be the same.

If I batch-edit time-shift the files, I can get the date taken field to be correct, but the date created field shifts as much and isn't right anymore.

How do I fix this problem?

If you are in the Mountain Time Zone of North America and on Daylight Savings Time, one of the dates is Universal Time (formerly Grenwich Mean Time) and the other is the local time, offset by the seven hour time difference.

I have a setting for world time, but it's the same as my camera time.

Yes, the 1:56 PM time is Universal Time Coordinated (UTC). 6 + 7 = 13 in the 24 hour clock of UTC. You'll have to fiddle with the time settings to get it the way you like.
