Whats the exif of this shot? was the two candles the only available light when you took this shot?
Yes, Only two candles. During a energy colapse.

Exif:
# Exposure Time (1 / Shutter Speed) = 1/10 second ===> 0.1 second
# Lens F-Number / F-Stop = 0/10 ===> ƒ/0 (not true, because I usa a screw mount lens SuperTakumar 50mm f/1.4, and the aperture is f/1.4)
# Exposure Program = manual control (1)
# ISO Speed Ratings = 1600
# Original Date/Time = 2008:11:10 21:55:01
# Digitization Date/Time = 2008:11:10 21:55:01
# Exposure Bias (EV) = 0/10 ===> 0
# Metering Mode = spot (3)
# Flash = Flash did not fire, compulsory flash mode
# Focal Length = 5000/100 mm ===> 50 mm
# Colour Space = sRGB (1)

RAW (DNG), hand hold camera, PerfectRAW converter, PS after.

Does anyone uses LR2.5 for both NR and processing? If so how can you manage to make the best of it without ruining too much detail and sharpness? I only see two sliders for the NR the luminance and color and i just make it both at 100 am i on the right track here?

Same here!

Though lately... I've had the pleasure of discovering the infamous "Pentax K20D Raw Border Correcter" by GordonBGood(thanks jamesm007), which has proven amazing results with our K20D high ISO shooting.
Is that a Photoshop plugin? Or a standalone program? Can't seem to google up much info on it, other than folks saying they like it.

no, you are not... and you might want to replace 2.5 w/ (free) 3beta, it does a better job even w/ luminance NR disabled

I guess here it is - Pentax K20D Raw Border Correcter vs0.9.0.0.zip - Windows Live

PS: but check w/ the author if it is really the recent version - GordonBGood can be typically found @ dpreview pentax forum.

Thanks very much. I got it and tried it on a couple of photos, but at the moment I don't have anything which would be a good candidate for it so I probably haven't been able to give it a fair trial with what I had handy. I'll try to shoot some photos especially to try out with it.

It really helps!

Here's a K20, 6400 sample processed with NN and GordonB's utility.

Taken in very low lighting!
