anyone have a K-X noise ninja profile?

Hey there, not sure if anyone uses noise ninja here, would anyone happen to have a noise ninja profile for the new K-X? I lack the proper lightning and printer to make one myself...

Much appreciated!

noise ninja should work w/ the test chart shot (defocused) off the screen, shouldn't it ?

I dunno about 6400 ISO being unusable...

You might like to revisit some of your custom image settings. Have you got the sharpness cranked up too high? Sometimes that can highlight noise in unwelcome ways.

not sure if I understand you correctly - but you can take a picture of the chart off the screen - just defocus your lens manually so that there will be no infraction from the regular structures of LCD cells for example...

here is the instructions straight from the PictureCode itself : Main Page - PictureCode

I Noise Ninja all my K-x photos above ISO1600. Makes the photos a bit cleaner, but not necessary.

Noise Ninja profiles for Pentax Kx

Kx .PEF (iso200-iso6400, in 1/3 and 1/2 EV steps) -> C1Pv5(.0.1), no NR/no USM -> CS4/NNv2.3.2 -> .nzp

Kx=NoiseNinja(raw).ZIP - File Shared from Box.net - Free Online File Storage

in addition if you want to create a profile for your specific raw converter/conversion parameters here is the full set of the original raw files that were used (shots of NoiseNinja target)

Enjoy
