| Edge Masking, or not EDIT: perhaps I asked the wrong question; maybe the question is, whether or not edge masking per the Adobe recommended edge masking technique* is the preferred way to get the most detail out of shadows or should sharpening and shadows be done separately? *http://help.adobe.com/...op/11.0/WS54906275-E3B4-41d5-AC02-338AD02FD23Da.html On the left, Edge Mask USM sharpening, on the right straight USM sharpening with the same settings without the edge mask.
