I've had no problem doing 100% cropping with MSPaint in Windows 7. Quick and easy.

Note: MSPaint in Windows XP does not have a crop function. I don't know about Vista's.

Vista's Paint does have a crop function, although it is slightly different than Windows 7's Paint which uses the ribbon interface compared to Vista's more conventional menu interface.

Irfanview is free and much easier to use than 99% of programs out there. It's also more powerful than people give it credit for. There would be no need for this thread if basic users were not trying to use overly complex editing programs.

Of course if it's free, it can't be any good, Right!
