I have Adobe CS. I have never Post Processed anything before but want to begin learning the process. Is it worth upgrading if I'm not familiar with what I should be doing to enhance the quality of the image? I wouldn't be paying for it but I already have CS on my computer. Is it worth the aggro?

I would recommend you begin with CS unless you need something in other editions that isn't available in CS (most common: photomerge for panoramas, or RAW support).

Once you master (or at least partly master) CS, then go ahead and move up to CS4. This way you're saving your money until you need to upgrade. By that time, CS5 or whatever should be out.
