DxO 6 - what am I doing wrong?

I've downloaded a trial of the latest version of DxO, having read that it produces excellent results for nature/landscapes.

However I can't get it to process any of my PEF's, from both old K100D and current Kx files. After adding images to a project using the DxO default settings, hovering the mouse over any of the images comes up with the message 'cannot be processed because image has no recognised colour data'.

As it stands I can't get it to do anything.
Is it a case of human error on my behalf?

Any help/advice greatly appreciated.

Regards
Adrian

I had read the list of supported cameras;
when you select other as your Pentax camera, the site specifies that the standard edition works with your camera.

Doesn't seem like it does, though.

Cheers.

Fair enough, so a non-starter it stays then.

but you can request Kx support - if enough people will do that DxO will move to support Kx rather sooner than later... the similar story was w/ K7, but of course there are (probably) more K7 shooters looking to use DxO than Kx shooters.

My DxO experience is that it needs to get the photos from the camera. If I first transfer them to harddrive DxO refuse to use them. Atleast with my K200d and DNG raw's..

the question is that Kx is not supported (= Kx raw files are not supported)... I started a thread @ DxO forums to try to get DxO to support Kx sooner - please register and voice your support (even if you are not using Kx or DxO - ultimately it serves all of us)
