Cloning Bokeh in PS

Anyone have any good tips for cloning out an object to look like the surrounding bokeh (and how to make it as smooth)?

An example is the below image. There is a stick on the right side of the picture that I'd like to clone out, but when I do, you can always tell something was there because the bokeh doesn't like right. And before anyone says it, I don't want to crop anymore.

Thanks for any advice.

I'm really not very sophisticated when it comes to ps, but what I did was cloned it out then went over it with the healing brush tool. Took about 5 minutes.

From what I hear about cs5, stuff like this will be a breeze when it comes out.

Man, that seriously looks fantastic! Thanks. I tried using the blur tool to blend together, not the healing tool. I'll have to look into that.

Thanks again.

The patch tool should work really well there also. The only trick there is you have to roughly clone out the stick ahead of time. So all that means is just running the patch tool over what you already did.

It does a really nice job of blending.

Wow, that is quite good! I did something similar last evening with Paint Shop Pro X2 -> I took out a smaller cloud in front of a bigger one w/ the Remove Dent/Scratch tool and it blended in very nicely.

Check out this tutorial, emphasis on the patch tool.
