That tomato series is golden, J!

I expect a macrolens to be sharp, but what I'm most impressed with is the bokeh. Not only is it good, but the transition regions from in- to out-of-focus are wonderfully smooth. This lens is a contender

I had this lens for a couple of days, liked the macro, but didn't get the kind of image quality that you're getting. Perhaps it was that particular copy... or were these shot with the K20? Perhaps that's the difference, the lens simply doesn't do its best on the 6mp CCD sensor. If that the case, when you have the opportunity, I'd really like to see a few non-macro shots using the K100S.

Brian, I'll try to get the lens on the k100DS this afternoon after work if it's not still raining I actually have never tried it on there yet.

This lens does good bokeh when close to a subject, but I'm not so sure it render's as well as the DA70 when further away...

By all means prove me wrong though...

But it sure looks like a nice macro lens
