it still is an amazing lens, I sometimes regret selling mine. It's clearly at its place among the legendary lenses...

My copy has the "PK Mount flange" and is compatible with my K10's and DS, and all other Pentax Cameras for that matter. It does NOT need to be modified, ground down, or removed!

As stated in the advert, It functions as a K or M type Pentax Lense.

All Pentax "A's" and older need user input to tell the camera what focal length is being used. and is by no means a problem to someone whom regulary uses manual lenses.

It won't fit on your DSLR K-mount due to long aperture lever flange. Needs modification of the lens...

see following website:
Flange Fix for Vivitar Lenses - Mark Roberts Photography

Besides, this lens does not communicate with the body, so appears as Manual "A" Type lens for your Shake Reduction...

Thank you for your comment. It is a great lense. I hope I won't regret selling it, I just find I am not using it that much.

A few quick shots

normal shot into a high contrast scene, focused on treetrunk
a 1 cent coin in the lenses macro mode focus (super shallow dof)

(Macro mode is set by locking at 210mm, focusing done by racking back and forth, and micro adjustment via focus ring)
