I have another few Pentax primes that are underused and need to find a new home.

This is a very clean 50/1.4 SMC-M lens, with rear cap, correct hood and UV protective filter. Price is in US$ and includes Priority Mail Shipping and paypal fees.

Len is in PentaxForums Excellent condition, with clear glass free of haze, fungus and cleaning marks, with smooth focus/aperture controls and oil-free aperture blades with good return spring tension. You may find a small use mark or two on very close inspection, but you'll have to look hard.

Just curious, does the side of the lens has the inscripton "Lens Made In Japan"?

Yes, "LENS MADE IN JAPAN" (all caps) is inscribed on the backside of the barrel, just above the aperture ring, 180-deg opposite the aperture index mark. Any significance to this?

I think the old 50mm lenses used to come with these hoods but you rarely see them sold nowadays including the hood, although, I regularly see them for sale on eBay. There are a couple on there for sale right now:

Thanks for the explanation. Looks like a $20-$25 hood, making the lens $70-$75. Not a bad deal. The lens is sold and paid for, thanks to all for the interest.
